Spotify adds lossless streaming

Spotify is finally rolling out lossless audio after years of delays. All Premium users in 50 markets (including the US, UK, Germany, and Japan) will get it at no extra cost over the next two months. Users can enable lossless in settings and see an indicator while listening. The format is limited to 24-bit / 44.1 kHz FLAC — lower than Apple Music or Tidal’s Hi-Res offerings — but good enough for most listeners. Supported devices include Sony, Bose, Samsung, and Sennheiser, with Sonos and Amazon support coming soon.
