T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert is stepping down

T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert is stepping down, with COO Srini Gopalan set to take over on November 1st. Sievert, who led the company since 2020 after the Sprint merger, will become vice chairman.

During his tenure, Sievert oversaw acquisitions like Mint Mobile and most of US Cellular. Gopalan, a former Deutsche Telekom board member with experience at Vodafone and Bharti Airtel, joined T-Mobile as COO in March 2025.

As CEO, he will drive T-Mobile’s push to become a data-driven, AI-enabled, digital-first company.
