Amazon unveiled its latest Echo devices

Amazon unveiled four new Echo devices at its latest hardware event: Echo Dot Max, Echo Studio, Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11.

The new lineup is powered by custom AZ3 and AZ3 Pro chips, enabling improved Alexa Plus conversations, wake-word detection and support for advanced AI models. All devices feature Omnisense sensors for ambient AI, letting Alexa respond to household events like reminders when someone enters a room or alerts about unlocked doors.

Echo Dot Max ($99.99) brings triple the bass of the 5th-gen Dot with a two-way speaker design.

Echo Studio ($219.99) is 40% smaller but offers immersive sound with Dolby Atmos and spatial audio.

Echo Show 8 ($179.99) and Echo Show 11 ($219.99) introduce upgraded displays, 13MP cameras and front-facing stereo speakers.

New Alexa Plus features include a media hub, smarter home controls, calendar conflict management, shopping widgets and health integrations with Oura (and soon Withings, Wyze).

Pre-orders are open now: Echo Dot Max and Studio ship October 29, while Echo Show 8 and 11 launch November 12. US buyers get early Alexa Plus access with any new Echo purchase.
