Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold, announced in August alongside the Pixel 10 lineup, is now officially available.
To mark the launch, Google detailed its new gearless hinge design, which replaces traditional gear mechanisms with spring-loaded CAMs for smoother, more durable folding. Unlike standard hinges that can trap dust and wear down, the gearless design improves reliability, compactness, and comfort while maintaining symmetrical motion.
This approach also enabled larger screens, slimmer bezels, a bigger battery, and IP68 dust and water resistance, all while preserving the premium feel expected from a pro-level foldable phone.
