Google Messages will now recognize nudity in videos

Google Messages now extends its Sensitive Content Warnings to videos, automatically detecting and blurring clips containing nudity. The feature, powered by on-device SafetyCore analysis, arrives with the October 2025 Play Services update (v25.39). Users must enable it manually under Settings → Protection and safety → Manage sensitive content warnings. Like with images, videos remain private and never leave the device, though GIFs are not yet supported.
