Leak exposed everything about upcoming Samsung Galaxy XR headset

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy XR headset — previously known as Project Moohan — has leaked in full, revealing key details about its design, specs, and features ahead of launch.

According to Android Headlines, the Galaxy XR will feature a comfortable, padded design similar to the Meta Quest Pro, with an external battery, touchpad controls, built-in spatial audio speakers, and a fit-adjustment dial. It runs One UI XR, Samsung’s custom version of Android XR developed with Google, and supports popular apps like Netflix, the Samsung Gallery, and Gemini AI (activated by long-pressing the top button).

The headset reportedly boasts dual 4K micro-OLED displays (29 million pixels total, 4,032 PPI), powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip, supporting hand, eye, and voice tracking via multiple sensors and cameras.

Weighing around 545g, the Galaxy XR is lighter than Apple’s Vision Pro and includes controllers with haptic feedback and detachable light shields. Battery life is around 2–2.5 hours.

Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy XR before the end of 2025, with leaks suggesting a release on October 21 and pre-orders starting October 15.
