New safety tracker can discreetly trigger a fake phone call

SwitchBot has launched the Safety Alarm, a $39.99 keychain device that acts as both a personal safety gadget and an NFC key for SwitchBot smart locks. It features a flashlight, strobe light and a 130dB alarm triggered by pulling its keychain. When activated, it alerts up to five contacts with your last known location. A discreet double-press can also trigger a fake phone call for safety. The device supports Apple’s Find My network, runs up to one year on replaceable batteries, and is IP65 water-resistant. Available in black, white and aqua.
