Nvidia to invest $1 billion in Nokia

Nvidia is investing $1 billion in Nokia, buying 166 million new shares at $6.01 each for a 2.9% stake in the company. The funding will help Nokia accelerate its AI-driven connectivity strategy, including 5G and 6G RAN software optimized for Nvidia’s architecture.

The two companies will also collaborate on AI networking solutions, integrating Nokia’s data center switching and optical tech into Nvidia’s future AI infrastructure.

T-Mobile U.S. will join as a partner to test AI-RAN technologies starting next year, advancing 6G development and network efficiency. Nokia CEO Justin Hotard and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called the deal a step toward AI-powered, intelligent telecom networks that redefine global connectivity.
