Ultrahuman smart rings are out from US market

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) has finalized its ruling in Oura’s patent case against Ultrahuman, officially banning Ultrahuman from importing and selling its smart rings in the US. The decision follows a presidential review period and enforces exclusion and cease-and-desist orders, leaving Oura and Samsung as the main smart ring brands in the country.

Oura called the ruling a “major legal milestone” affirming its patent strength. Separately, Oura and RingConn have reached a confidential settlement, granting RingConn a multi-year patent license to continue US sales.

Ultrahuman said its Ring Air “remains available through retailers,” assuring users of ongoing software and warranty support.
