According to Mark Gurman, Apple’s revamped Siri arriving with iOS 26.4 in spring 2026 will quietly rely on Google’s Gemini models running on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute servers. These models will handle planning, summarization, and knowledge search tasks while preserving user privacy, as no external data is shared. Apple will market the system as fully its own, using Gemini only behind the scenes to fill AI gaps. The update will let Siri answer personal and general knowledge questions more naturally and is expected to debut alongside a new AI-powered smart home display.
