Google has announced its top Play Store apps and games of 2025. The best overall app is Focus Friend by Hank Green, a gamified focus timer with a customizable “Bean Friend” avatar. The best overall game is Pokémon TCG Pocket, a digital version of the classic card game.
Luminar was named best multi-device app for its AI editing tools, while Disney Speedstorm won best multi-device game for running smoothly across phones, tablets and PCs.
Other category winners include Edits, Wiser, Pingo AI, ABCmouse 2, Goodnotes, SleepisolBio, SoundCloud and Calm. Top game picks include Dunk City Dynasty, Candy Crush Solitaire, Chants of Sennaar, Disco Elysium, Wuthering Waves, DREDGE and Odin: Valhalla Rising.
