Gemini starts rolling out to Android Auto users globally

Google has begun rolling out Gemini to Android Auto users worldwide, a process that will continue for the next couple of months. After switching from Google Assistant to Gemini on their phones, users can access a far more capable, conversational assistant in the car. Gemini can add smart stops along a route, handle complex messaging (including summaries and translations), pull info from Gmail, manage calendar and notes apps and understand music “vibes” instead of exact titles. It also supports Gemini Live for freeform conversations, like acting as a road-trip guide. Gemini is launching in 45 languages, and a tooltip in Android Auto will appear once it’s available for your vehicle.
