Google is now widely rolling out call recording for Pixel 6 and newer devices. The feature becomes available after updating the app to recent versions and installing the November Pixel Drop. Once enabled in Settings > Call Assist > Call Recording, users can manually record calls or set automatic recording for specific or unknown numbers. Pixel phones require Android 14, while non-Pixel phones need Android 9 or higher. The app also plays an automatic announcement or beep to inform callers, as call-recording laws vary by region.
