OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 15 globally, but US sales are delayed because the FCC cannot complete certification due to the recent government shutdown. The phone is already approved by FCC-recognized labs, and OnePlus says US availability should follow soon. Other regions, including Canada, get it immediately.
The OnePlus 15 brings major upgrades: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with a new cooling system, a huge 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery, 120W charging globally (80W in the US) and 50W wireless charging. It offers a 6.78-inch 165Hz display, now at 1.5K resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
Camera hardware is slightly downgraded from the OnePlus 13, though features improve with the new DetailMax Engine, 26MP Ultra Clear Mode, better low-light performance, 4K/120fps Dolby Vision and underwater mode. The alert slider has been replaced with a remappable shortcut button.
The phone includes IP66/IP68/IP69K ratings, OxygenOS 16 with Gemini integration, Plus Mind features, AI-powered tools, Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7 and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Priced at $899.99 (12/256GB) or $999.99 (16/512GB), it comes in Sandstorm, Infinite Black and Ultra Violet. US buyers will need to wait slightly longer, but not for long now that the shutdown has ended.
