Google is preparing a major redesign of the Gemini app after users — including former Googlers — criticized its outdated and less polished interface. In response to feedback on X, Google AI Studio’s product lead confirmed that the company is making a “huge investment” in a new Gemini App UX 2.0, along with developing a macOS app.
While details of the redesign remain unknown, a major UI refresh is expected. Android Authority has also spotted work on a more compact overlay interface for Gemini Live, though it’s unclear if this is part of the upcoming revamp.
