iFixit has launched a new Android and iOS app featuring FixBot, an AI helper designed to guide users through repairs. The app provides access to iFixit’s full library of repair guides, lets you order parts and tools and even tracks your phone’s battery health.
FixBot can identify your device from a photo or by manual selection, then surface the correct repair guide. It works well for supported products, though image recognition can be slow and unsupported devices only receive high-level advice. Despite limitations, the app marks a major return for iFixit and brings smarter, AI-powered assistance to DIY repairs.
