Toyota vehicles are expected to gain support for Apple’s Car Keys feature, with signs that it’s already live on Apple’s backend – though Toyota hasn’t officially confirmed timing yet. The feature lets drivers store a digital car key in Apple Wallet and unlock or start their car using an iPhone or Apple Watch, with optional Face ID or a faster express mode.
Toyota already offers its own Digital Key, but Apple Car Keys would add broader ecosystem support. The feature is already available on brands like BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai and Volvo, making Toyota’s apparent addition a welcome surprise.
