Asus has officially confirmed it is exiting the smartphone market and will not launch any new phones this year. Chairman Jonney Shih announced the decision at an event in Taipei, stating that Asus will shift its focus to commercial PCs and physical AI, including robotics and smart glasses. The company will continue to support existing smartphones with updates, maintenance and warranties.
Despite pulling back from phones, Asus reported strong financial results in 2025, with $23.4 billion in revenue, up 26% year over year, driven largely by rapid growth in its AI server business.
