Google may soon let users change their @gmail.com email address without creating a new account. Updated support pages confirm the feature is gradually rolling out, though it’s not available to everyone yet. If enabled, users can switch to a new Gmail address while keeping their old one as an alternate, with all data unaffected. There are limits, however: you can’t create another new Gmail address for 12 months, can’t delete the new address and some apps or Chromebooks may have minor issues.
