iPhone 18 Pro will introduce new cutting-edge features

Leaks suggest Apple is preparing major upgrades for its iPhone 18 Pro lineup and first foldable iPhone, while Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series may see only minor improvements. Analyst Jeff Pu claims Apple will launch three models in September 2026: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Fold.

All three are expected to feature the 2nm A20 Pro chip, 12GB RAM and 18MP front cameras, with the Fold using Touch ID instead of Face ID. The Pro models may introduce under-display Face ID, a smaller Dynamic Island and variable aperture cameras, giving Apple a potential edge in performance and photography. Apple is also rumored to be working on satellite-based 5G connectivity.

With Apple pushing innovation across chips, cameras, biometrics and form factors, Samsung could struggle to compete unless it significantly steps up beyond the Galaxy S26 generation.
