Analyst Jeff Pu says Apple’s foldable iPhone 18, expected in 2026, will use Touch ID instead of Face ID and feature 7.8-inch internal and 5.3-inch external displays. Despite a shrinking smartphone market, Apple is forecast to grow shipments to 250 million units in 2026, boosting market share to 21%. The iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max and Fold are expected to launch in fall 2026 with A20 Pro chips, 12GB RAM, and upgrades aimed at supporting advanced on-device AI features.
