OnePlus CEO faces arrest warrant

Taiwanese prosecutors have reportedly issued an arrest warrant for OnePlus CEO and co-founder Pete Lau, accusing him of illegally recruiting Taiwanese engineers in violation of laws restricting talent ties with China. Authorities claim OnePlus hired over 70 engineers since 2014. The case is part of Taiwan’s broader push to protect its semiconductor expertise and prevent talent and IP leakage. OnePlus says its operations remain unaffected, while Lau has not commented.
