At CES 2026, Samsung Display showcased a new foldable OLED panel that appears to eliminate the visible screen crease. Shown side by side with the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s display, the difference is immediately noticeable, with Samsung claiming seamless text across the fold.
The breakthrough reportedly comes from a laser-drilled metal plate under the screen that better distributes folding stress. While no devices have been confirmed yet, the panel looks production-ready and could power future Samsung foldables and possibly Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
