Samsung has officially confirmed it will launch its long-rumored AR glasses later this year, marking the first time the project has moved beyond rumors. The announcement came during the company’s Q4 2025 earnings call, where Samsung said the glasses will play a key role in delivering immersive, AI-powered XR experiences.
Earlier leaks suggested Samsung is working on two versions of the AR glasses, possibly regional or hardware variants, and may include features like a 12MP camera, Qualcomm AR1 chip and a small internal battery. While details remain unconfirmed, the launch is expected toward the end of the year rather than in the near term.
