Verizon offers customers a $20 credit after 10-hour outage

A major Verizon outage on January 14 left customers nationwide without calls, texts or mobile data for up to 10 hours. Service was restored late that evening and Verizon apologized for the disruption. Affected customers can redeem a $20 account credit through the MyVerizon app once they receive a notification, though the credit must be claimed manually and applies per account.
