Verizon is experienced a widespread outage across the U.S., knocking out mobile voice and data service for many customers on both iPhone and Android. Phones are showed “SOS” or no signal, calls were not working, and Verizon’s home internet were also affected, though messaging apps over Wi-Fi still functioned.
Verizon has confirmed the issue and says service is beginning to recover, while engineers continue working on a fix. Other carriers like T-Mobile report no network problems, and Verizon MVNOs appear unaffected.
