Google’s latest Android version distribution data shows that, as of December 1, 2025, only 7.5% of active Android devices are running Android 16. While this lags far behind Apple’s iOS adoption, it reflects Android’s more complex, multi-manufacturer ecosystem.
Android 15 currently leads with 19.3% adoption, followed by Android 14 (17.2%) and Android 13 (13.9%), with Android 16 sitting in seventh place. Its share is expected to steadily increase in the coming months.
