Apple is asking a federal judge to dismiss a shareholder lawsuit accusing it of misleading investors about the readiness of its AI features and its compliance with App Store rules tied to the Epic Games case.
The lawsuit claims Apple overstated the capabilities and timeline of its Apple Intelligence and Siri upgrades and misrepresented how it followed a 2021 court injunction on app store commissions. Apple denies the allegations, arguing there is no evidence it knowingly misled investors or guaranteed flawless compliance.
The case is led by South Korea’s National Pension Service and follows stock declines tied to both the AI rollout concerns and a ruling by Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers that Apple violated the earlier injunction.
