Google Pixel 10a – $499 starting price, modest upgrades

Google has unveiled the Pixel 10a, its latest affordable Pixel phone, keeping the familiar $499 starting price while adding a handful of modest upgrades. It comes with 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, a 6.3-inch 120Hz display and runs on the Tensor G4 chip with Android 16 and seven years of updates.

The new model keeps the strong camera setup from last year (48MP main + 13MP ultrawide) but introduces a sleeker flush camera design and adds AI features like Auto Best Take and Camera Coach. Other improvements include brighter display, faster charging (30W wired, 10W wireless), satellite SOS support, Gorilla Glass 7i and slightly slimmer bezels.

Overall, the Pixel 10a is a steady, evolutionary upgrade rather than a major leap, offering solid performance, long battery life and reliable cameras at a budget-friendly price.
