You can now remove personal info about yourself from Google Search results

Google is expanding its “Results about you” hub, giving users more control over personal information in Search. In addition to phone numbers and email addresses, you can now request removal of results containing sensitive data like your driver’s license, passport or Social Security number. After adding your details to the hub, Google will scan Search and notify you if matches are found, allowing you to request removal directly. (This removes results from Google Search, not from the internet itself.)

Google is also making it easier to remove non-consensual explicit images. Users can click the three-dot menu next to an image in Search, select “Remove result,” and choose the relevant reason. Multiple images can be reported at once, and users can enable proactive filtering for similar content. Request status tracking and links to support organizations are included.

The new features are rolling out first in the U.S., with more regions to follow.
