Some ads miss the mark – and big tech isn’t immune. Apple previously faced backlash over its controversial iPad “crush” ad, and now Google is drawing criticism for its latest Pixel 10 campaign.
One ad, “Moving On,” is seen as unsettling, with a discarded phone narrating its owner’s life like a creepy stalker. Another promotes the Pixel 10 Pro’s 100x zoom but feels misleading, as the visuals are simulated and enhanced with extra hardware.
While the phone’s features are solid, the ads have been criticized as awkward, tone-deaf and unnecessarily gimmicky.
