According to analysts from International Data Corporation, Motorola currently leads the U.S. foldable smartphone market with about 50% market share, overtaking rivals like Samsung.
Motorola also holds roughly 55% of the foldable market in Latin America, while its global share has grown from around 6% to nearly 14%. In Europe and Central Europe, the company has about 12–13%, making it the second-largest foldable brand in those regions.
So far, Motorola’s success has come mainly from its clamshell devices such as the Motorola Razr series, which competes with phones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. The company is expected to expand its lineup soon with its first book-style foldable, the Motorola Razr Fold, as competition grows and Apple is rumored to be preparing a foldable iPhone.
