The iPhone Fold is rumored to feature a nearly crease-free display, thanks to a new dual-layer ultra-thin glass (UTG/UFG) design. This setup places the screen between glass layers and keeps it separate from the hinge, improving durability and reducing visible creasing.
Leaks also suggest self-healing glass and a seamless hinge, with the crease possibly as small as 0.15mm. The display technology may be supplied by Samsung and could be similar to that used in Oppo’s Find N series.
The foldable iPhone is expected to launch in September, featuring a 7.8-inch inner display, a 5.49-inch cover screen, and a starting price of around $1,999.
