Leaked Samsung Fold Wide renders show future iPhone Fold competitor

Foldable phones are evolving beyond the usual designs, and Samsung is expected to introduce a new extra-wide version of its Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Leaked CAD-based renders suggest a wider form factor aimed at improving multitasking, with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen. While slightly smaller than the standard model on paper, the wider shape could offer a more spacious and practical viewing area.

The device is rumored to measure just 4.9mm when unfolded and 9.8mm when closed (up to 14.6mm with the camera bump). This new “Wide” variant could compete with Apple’s future foldable iPhone, as foldable designs continue to diversify.
