Samsung’s wide foldable might be coming this year

Samsung is reportedly developing a new wide foldable smartphone that could launch later this year as a separate lineup alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series.

According to leaks, the device may feature a 7.6-inch internal display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, designed to work more like a tablet when unfolded for better multitasking. It’s also rumored to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and include a battery of around 4,800mAh.

The phone is expected to launch in China first, while competition in the large foldable market could grow in 2026 with companies like Apple and Huawei also preparing their own devices.
