WhatsApp is testing a dedicated app for Apple CarPlay via TestFlight, bringing a full interface to car screens for the first time.
Users can view chats, contacts, profiles and call history, and make calls directly, while messages can still only be sent via voice for safety. The app also supports light/dark modes and an unread chats tab.
This is a big upgrade from the current CarPlay experience, which relies solely on Siri without a visual interface.
