Elon Musk’s xAI raises $6 billion

Elon Musk’s xAI Series B funding round raised $6 billion with key investors like Valor Equity Partners, Vy Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, Fidelity Management & Research Company, and Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal.

Over the past year, xAI has achieved significant milestones, including launching Grok-1 on X in November and releasing the improved Grok-1.5 model and Grok-1.5V with image understanding. The open-source release of Grok-1 has facilitated advancements and optimizations.

The new funds will help bring xAI’s products to market, build advanced infrastructure, and accelerate R&D for future technologies. xAI aims to develop advanced AI systems that are truthful, competent, and beneficial for humanity, with the mission to understand the universe’s true nature.
