Qualcomm agrees to pay $75 million 

Qualcomm has agreed to pay $75 million to settle a lawsuit brought by shareholders over its aggressive licensing practices. Shareholders claimed Qualcomm misled them about its business practices, which inflated the stock price. The company had refused to license essential patents to certain competitors and required buying its chips to get a deal. While Apple and regulators also sued Qualcomm over these practices, Qualcomm mostly won those cases. The shareholder lawsuit settlement is considered a win for shareholders, as they are getting paid, unlike other parties. A judge still needs to approve the settlement terms.
