Nokia’s network infrastructure business may go to Samsung for $10 billion

Samsung is reportedly considering purchasing Nokia’s network infrastructure business for $10 billion to boost its Radio Access Network (RAN) market share. Currently, Samsung holds around 6.1% of the RAN market, and this acquisition could elevate it to 25.6%, making it the second-largest RAN supplier globally. Samsung already has significant experience in 4G and 5G infrastructure, supplying major carriers worldwide, including Telus, Verizon, and Vodafone.
