At Meta Connect, Meta unveiled updates to its Ray-Ban smart glasses, introduced the affordable Meta Quest 3S VR headset, and provided a first look at “Orion” AR glasses. The Ray-Ban glasses will gain new AI features, including real-time translation and hands-free messaging. “Orion” AR glasses feature a display that overlays content in the real world, controlled by a neural wristband. While not yet for sale, Orion sets the stage for future AR developments. Meta also announced the $299 Meta Quest 3S, offering more power and passthrough support, with pre-orders available now. Quest 2 and Quest Pro will be discontinued.
