Gemini could land directly to Android lock screen in the future

Google is focusing heavily on generative AI to maintain its search dominance, using its Gemini AI assistant as a key tool. To expand its reach, Google is testing a new feature in Android that places a dedicated Gemini button on the lock screen.

Currently, Gemini can be accessed through voice commands or by holding certain buttons on Android devices. The new button, found in Android 15 Beta, is not yet functional but suggests Google’s push to make AI more accessible in future Android versions, likely starting with Android 16, set to launch next year.
