A zero-day vulnerability was found in several Qualcomm chipsets

Qualcomm has revealed a zero-day vulnerability in its chipsets that has been exploited to target Android users. This vulnerability affects a wide range of chipsets, including flagship models like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and mid-range options such as the Snapdragon 660.

The issue was discovered by Google’s Threat Analysis Group and Amnesty International. Qualcomm has released a patch to OEMs, urging them to update affected devices, which include phones from brands like Samsung, Motorola and OnePlus. It’s unclear if iPhone users with the Snapdragon X55 modem were targeted.
