iPhone users in the EU can delete the App Store with iOS 18.2

Due to the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), Apple is making significant changes to iOS and the App Store for European users. With iOS 18.2, users in the EU will be able to delete built-in apps like the App Store, Safari, Camera and Messages. This complies with DMA rules allowing users to uninstall any app. Additionally, EU users can download alternative app marketplaces. iOS 18.2 also introduces easier default app settings globally and adds new features like Image Playground and ChatGPT integration. The update is expected to be released in December.
