In 2025, Samsung plans to reclaim its foldable phone market share by launching four devices instead of the usual two: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, the long-rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE and an unnamed triple-folding phone. The triple-folding device, Samsung’s first, is expected to feature a 9.9–10-inch unfolded display, using a durable G-shaped inward-folding design showcased at MWC 2023. However, it may be bulky at 15mm thick and limited to a production run of 200,000 units, with a launch in Q3.
Samsung is also focusing on a thinner Galaxy Z Fold 7, likely slimmer than the 10.6mm Fold 6 Special Edition, to compete with sleeker foldables from Chinese brands. This design change might involve removing the digitizer, as seen in previous models.
