Apple has launched the iPhone 16e, replacing the iPhone SE 3 and iPhone 14 as the most affordable iPhone at $599. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, Face ID, the A18 chip with Apple Intelligence AI features and the new Apple C1 modem for efficient 5G. The device includes satellite connectivity, a USB-C port, wireless charging, an IP68 rating and the Action button. It has a single 48MP camera with 2x telephoto and supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision video. Available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options, the iPhone 16e offers strong competition to Android rivals like the Pixel 9a. Pre-orders start on February 21, with sales beginning February 28, 2025.
