Belgian police raided Huawei’s Brussels headquarters and 20 other locations in Belgium and Portugal as part of an investigation into alleged bribery, forgery and money laundering at the European Parliament. Authorities suspect Huawei lobbyists bribed MEPs to influence EU policies. Huawei’s EU Public Affairs Director, Valerio Ottati, has been named a key suspect. The European Commission declined to comment but reiterated security concerns over Huawei’s role in Europe’s 5G networks.
