Google is releasing an early update for Pixel Watch 2 and 3, adding Scam Detection — previously only on the Pixel 9 series. If paired with a Pixel 9 device, these watches can now alert users to suspicious calls using AI. The feature is U.S.-only, English-only, and requires Bluetooth proximity to the phone. It won’t work over LTE. A small update with bug fixes (version BP1A.250305.019.W7) is also included. The next scheduled update is in June.
