Apple reportedly stockpiling inventory to absorb tariff blows

In response to new U.S. tariffs – up to 54% on Chinese-made goods – Apple is stockpiling products and exploring ways to delay price hikes. The tariffs take effect April 9 but won’t apply to existing U.S. inventory. Apple may hold off raising iPhone prices until the iPhone 17 in September and is also renegotiating supplier deals and expanding manufacturing to countries like Brazil. A price increase seems likely unless geopolitical tensions ease.
