Google Wallet will soon let UK users add digital ID passes using their passports, with initial use cases including train ticket verification via Rail Delivery Group. In the US, more states – like Arkansas, Montana, and West Virginia – are gaining digital ID support, with plans for DMV integration and online use for services like Amazon and CVS. Google is also introducing Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology for private age verification and plans to open source it. Additionally, Wallet is expanding to 50 more countries, though this only includes digital passes, not tap-to-pay.
