Sony’s new WH-1000XM6 headphones focus on refined sound, upgraded noise cancellation and smart hardware tweaks rather than a major redesign. They bring back the foldable design, improve comfort with a wider headband and removable ear cups and offer clearer sound via new drivers and tuning help from Sony’s audio engineers. Battery life remains the same (30 hours with ANC), but the price has jumped to $449. While they lack USB-C audio and include some lackluster spatial audio features, they still deliver premium performance. Great for new buyers, but not a must-upgrade from the XM5.
